Lung cancer patients may resist doing exercise due to their illness. In fact, moderate exercise will not only improve patients’ physical conditions such as shortness of breath, fatigues and pain, but may also benefit their mental health.
“A Breath of Hope” will organize a free physical therapy pain management workshop. Designed specifically for patients, their family members and caregivers, senior physiotherapist Ms. Lavinia Wong will demonstrate a few easy pain-relieving exercises, and clinical oncologist Dr. Patricia Poon will be there to provide professional advice and take any questions patients and their caregivers may have.
Each lung cancer patient may invite 1 family member or caregiver to join.
